YMCA ACTION Break School Holiday Activities & programs are an opportunity for your child to grow and learn from new experiences. Get your kids away from screens these holidays and come down to UNSW Fitness & Aquatic Centre to be active, jump around and have fun.

Activities Include:
Soccer, Basketball, Cricket, Touch Football, Swimming, Athletics, Badminton, Frisbee, Volleyball, AFL, Hockey, Netball plus more fun games and activities.Our holiday sports clinics are a great way to get kids active when school’s out. Children can try a sport they’ve never played or add to their skills in something they love.

What to bring: Hat, swimwear, towel, spare change of clothes in case they get wet, water bottle, food for the day: morning and afternoon tea and lunch. Lunch can be purchased prior to 9am at Laz’s Poolside Cafe (located in front of reception and paid for in advance). Please note: for safety reasons, all participants must wear enclosed shoes. Thongs and sandals are not permitted.

^For the safety of all, non-swimmers will participate in extra athletics activities instead of swimming.

Gymnastics Clinic: 3 day clinics that allow children to experience using all major gymnastics apparatuses like bars,
beam, floor, trampoline and vault. Children will learn in circuits, learning and building on the the
basic shapes as well as working on rolls, handstands and cartwheels while having fun and
meeting new friends. Open to both boys and girls ages 5 - 12 years welcome.

  • Swimwear, goggles, swim cap, towel. (see checklist above)

LTS + Squad Intensives: 30 min classes. 5 day clinic in week 1 and 4 day clinic in week 2. From Tadpole to Shark Level. Focused on fast tracking your child’s swimming skills. Great compliment to swimming lessons. Intensive clinics are a great way to increase skill acquisition and water safety skills. Limited spaces available – bookings essential.

Racing Clinic: Open to swimmers at Shark and Silver Squad levels. 5 days a week. 60 min class that focuses on skills and strategies needed at a racing level. Great opportunity to develop a competitive edge for your next swimming carnival. Limited spaces available – bookings essential.

Water Polo Clinic: This 3 day program is open to swimmers at a squad level who can competently swim for 150m without rest and can tread water for 2 minutes. A holiday clinic, which aims to introduce the game of Water Polo to young swimmers. The program will run for 3.5 hours and will focus on developing leg, ball, passing and shooting skills. Participants will engage in modified water polo matches throughout the program. Limited spaces available – bookings essential.
